About the case

The implementation of the Pasa terminal took place in April 2002 at the port of Paranaguá, marking the beginning of a new phase in the history of the sugar and ethanol industry in the state of Paraná.

Designed with agile logistics for the flow of production from Paraná’s sugar mills, with a focus on exporting to various international markets, it was conceived as an ambitious project. The combination of efforts and investments made it possible to build the first specialized terminal for bulk sugar loading in the Southern region of the country.

The installation brought significant benefits to the local and national economy, boosting the sector’s competitiveness and solidifying Paraná as an important sugar export hub.

Challenge

To develop an access control tool that integrates with LogInfo, the port’s internal system, allowing for direct information transmission to the Federal Revenue Service. Additionally, the functionality of recording and reading CPF (Brazilian ID number) on the Mifare card will be implemented to meet the legal requirements of the Paranaguá port area.

Solution

  • Invenzi access control software for approximately 1,000 users;
  • 2 workstations;
  • 27 proximity readers;
  • 10 fingerprint biometric readers;
  • 6 facial biometric readers.
