About the case

Opened on October 3, 2003, through a partnership between the Jundiaí Medical School (FMJ) and the Public Authority, the University Hospital (HU) follows humanistic principles and an innovative structure, representing a significant advancement for medical progress in the region.

The HU’s infrastructure currently consists of 123 beds, distributed across Maternity and Pediatrics wings, Neonatal ICU, Pediatric ICU, Adult ICU, General Clinic, and Surgical Center, along with a team of 513 employees and approximately 300 highly qualified doctors in its clinical staff.

In addition to pediatric, gynecology, and obstetrics care, since 2007, the HU has also successfully performed low and medium complexity elective surgeries.

The hospital features one of the most modern neonatal ICUs in the interior of São Paulo. The unit offers state-of-the-art technology for supporting, monitoring, and treating newborns, especially in cases of extreme prematurity.

Challenge

To implement an access control tool at the Jundiaí University Hospital. This tool is responsible for managing access for approximately 2,000 users, using 28 proximity readers. This implementation significantly elevated the hospital’s technological security level, providing a high-capacity access management system.
